Advent Add-Ons
For this month’s add ons we’ve come up with something special: a choice of two 4-packs. One extra dose for each advent. The first advent is Sunday 11/29 this year and each Sunday after that is an advent as well. In Germany where Matthias grew up, it’s common to light one advent candle each Sunday and in the spirit of that tradition, we’ve thought about this add on composition.
The options are: Panama Geisha or Fun Bundle sets. See what’s inside below:
Geisha Bundle (4 × 15g)
Tanat Coffee (Paris): Gato Grande, Geisha Natural CRF #7
Tierras Altas, Chiriquí, Panama · Cold Fermentation, Natural
Apple, Raspberry, Jasmine Tea
Gato Grande made its debut as a Terraform add-on back in January. And it was the best washed Geisha I have ever had. I have not had the chance to try any more since and can't wait for this one.
Goût & Co (Chengdu): Finca Santa Teresa Geisha Washed
Santa Clara, Chiriquí, Panama · Washed
White Floral, Lime, Grapefruit, Honey Yuzu Tea
Santa Teresa is a farm that's new to us. Unless you include last month's One Half add-on but that was a Lost Origin collaboration so the processing played a major role. This washed geisha will be a wonderful way to get a taste of this farm that placed 3rd in the varietals category in Best of Panama this year! Moreover, we are so excited to welcome Gout & Co. More than a year after Matthias loved their coffees at Tiba in Paris, it finally worked out.
Ye Lei Lab (Shanghai): Los Lajones Bambu Lot 8619 Geisha Natural
Panama · Natural
Orange Juice, Strawberry, Mangosteen Juice, Musk Grape
Our first Los Lajones! This farm placed 4th in the natural geisha category of Best of Panama this year, with another "Bambu" lot. Bambu is a collection of highest quality lots. We are also thrilled to have Ye Lei join the lineup, which is a side project of Mobydick.
Terraform (Shanghai): Elida Estate Gesha (Torre plot)
Panama · Gesha (Green Tip) · DRD Washed
Ginger Blossom, Blood Orange, Peach
Aaaaand another first! Our first Elida geisha to offer. And on top of that a dark room dried process which we've only had a few times and always with fantastic results. Terraform makes its return after all the amazing geishas we've tried from them.
Fun Bundle (4 × 15g)
Ripsnorter (Rotterdam): Nestor Lasso Ombligon
Bruselas, Pitalito, Huila, Colombia · Ombligon · Mosto Fermentation Natural
Cherry Liquor, Marshmallow, Chocolate
Ripsnorter is back! It was a hugely popular initial feature in February and also brought us fantastic add-ons back then. What better to share than a Nestor Lasso Ombligon. Enough said!
People Possession (Paris): Zebra Estate, Catimor Jasmine Infused
Lancang, Pu'er, Yunnan, China · Catimor · Washed, Jasmine Infused
Jasmine Tea, Green Tea, Orange Peel
Jasmine infused??? Okay hear us out -- about two years ago, Caleb from Yonder coffee shared a bag of Chinese coffee with us. It was from a roaster that doesn't even ship to the US. And it was a Jasmine infused coffee. It was fantastic. We tried to import more but it did not work out. So when we saw this on PPP's menu, we got super excited. Is it the same? Or even similar? Either way - it's sure to be special.
Tanat Coffee (Paris): Black Moon, Geisha Anaerobic Natural Lot 23
Alto Quiel, Boquete, Panama · Geisha · Anaerobic Natural
Strawberry, Passion Fruit, Rose, Starfruit
Black Moon placed 12th for the natural geisha category in Best of Panama this year (as well as 5th in washed and 7th in varietal!!). It's a special farm that we have previously featured their chiroso as an add on in February. Those chirosos were so good, we can't wait to taste the geisha.
DAK (Amsterdam): Lucky Cherry (7th Anniversary)
Kintamani, Bali, Indonesia · Cobra · Anaerobic Natural (nitrogen-flushed, 120h)
Black Cherry, Blood Orange, Rum
Matthias just got to visit DAK in person for the first time and of course everything was stellar. Our main feature will be a coffee he tried onsite. We saw DAK was celebrating their 7th anniversary with this coffee from Indonesia which is not a very common origin for DAK. So we figured if an Indonesian coffee is that special for DAK - it must be worth it!

About Add-Ons
Our add-ons are offerings that are harder to come by in the US and that are coffees we would usually add on ourselves when placing our monthly orders. Add-ons come with the same brew card and recipe as everything else.
