December Add-On

Our add-ons are offerings that are harder to come by in the US and that are coffees that we would usually add on ourselves when placing our monthly orders. Add ons will come with the same brew card and recipe as everything else.

April: El Socorro Washed Gesha

Bryan lived in Copenhagen for a couple of years before moving to the US, and when April is your local coffee shop, it’s impossible not to be shaped by it. Their approach to coffee has had a huge influence on my preferences and journey. So after a full year, we’re incredibly excited and grateful to finally partner with them this December.

Now, you might be thinking:
“A Guatemala Washed Gesha as an add-on?!”
But hear me out.

About a year and a half ago, I filmed a brewing video with Patrik and mentioned I was about to relocate to the US. When I told him I was moving to North Carolina, he immediately recalled doing a podcast of some sort with Kyle and Lem at Black & White—and without hesitation, he offered to send over some coffees as a gift. And yes, this was the one he chose.

This coffee has been a year-after-year standout at April, and this season is no exception—confirmed once again by a friend who works there.

MAME

While MAME is a roaster from Zurich, Switzerland, this feature and add-on is inspired by Matthias's trip to Japan this past summer. MAME opened a show room in Tokyo, focused entirely on super-premium lots. It's a reservation-only experience and even goes so far that heavy perfumes are not allowed in the cafe. There is no food, just coffee and a great time chatting with the baristas. 

We are offering two Competition coffees and they will be shipped in original packaging - a beautiful round container. The photo in the listing is of the packaging from my trip in Tokyo (but shows a different coffee).

Terraform: Gato Grande Washed

A little over a year ago, Airworks introduced both of us to Terraform and we have been been loving their coffees ever since! This roaster from Shanghai, China, has definitely become a special treat amongst the tariff uncertainty. Deciding on an add-on was tough and we are excited to share this washed Panamanian geisha. Sold as single dose.
