February Add-On
Our add-ons are offerings that are harder to come by in the US and that are coffees that we would usually add on ourselves when placing our monthly orders. Add ons will come with the same brew card and recipe as everything else.
This month, we are excited to welcome three new-to-us roasters for add-ons. We spent literal hours picking these coffees because there were just too many good options. Each of these roasters will also be present in the regular lineup so this gives us a chance to try a few different offerings at once!
We are also introducing our first-ever decaf add-on and couldn't be more excited to start something new.
Ripsnorter: Java Natural by Jhoan Vergara (Las Flores)
If you were with us in November, there's no doubt you remember Nomad's Las Flores. It was a favorite amongst all of us and is still talked about now. That coffee was a thermal shock Sidra. What we're offering as an add-on now is a natural Java.
I've personally tried two Javas from Jhoan Vergara: one also from Nomad a year ago. It was a favorite amongst many at a local cupping. And the other was a cup a friend of mine shared from Onyx's Echelon subscription. Both had the same signature flavor and both were remarkable.
Ripsnorter is a roaster from the Netherlands that we were first introduced to by our friends at POMA. They are also home to three-time Dutch Barista Champion Zjevaun Janga.

In 2024, their Constellation Chiroso won 1st place in the Varieties category at the Best of Panama, a moment that highlighted years of focused work, innovation, and attention to detail behind each harvest. In 2025 that same Chiroso won second place.
There've been a lot of up and coming roasters in Singapore and Kyuukei is the one Bryan has had his eyes on for a while. We're excited to kick it off with a bang!

Subtext: Cumbres de Nariño • Washed EA Decaf • Field Blend
From Subtext:
This decaffeinated community lot comes from 14 producers in Nariño, most of whom live around Buesaco. This new decaf is a project from our importing partner Shared Source, and was created in response to a changing landscape in Huila. Historically, Shared Source built their decaf lots using varieties like Caturra, Colombia, and Castillo from their longtime producing partners in Huila. However, in recent years, more and mroe producers are renovating their farms; removing these traditional varieties and repacing them with more 'exotic' varieties like Sidra, Pink Bourbon, and Aji. At the same time, Shared Source's relationships in Nariño strengthened, so they turned to those producers to create this new excellent decaf, Cumbres de Nariño.
