Brew tips
Use 92C water, a 1:17 ratio, and ~650 microns grind. Your brew should be very bright and fruity. If it's not bright enough, go coarser. If it's too light, you can go 1:16 or grind finer. This coffee drains slowly. Don't worry if the brew time is longer than your usual.
More info
Gachatha F.C.S benefits from the red volcanic soils of Central Kenya’s Aberdare Range. The station is set up on the Thiba river, the source of water and central junction for Muthuaini, Thiriku, Gachenge, and Kianjau towns. These are the farmer that make up Gachatha’s 1,500+ membership. The location on the river makes water treatment, tree and soil conservation a priority for the group’s leadership.
