About The Bean Archives Subscription
What’s the format?
You'll receive 6 coffees per month, most of which will be 60g. Occasionally we may feature a really special coffee in a smaller amount. All coffees will be high quality light roast. We will lean more on the clean side but also feature standout funky coffees. Usually each coffee will be from a different roaster.
Will I know what I'm getting?
Yes! We will announce the lineup before subscriptions renew. That way, you always know what you'll get and have the option to skip a month. Follow along on our Instagram for announcements and brew tips!
How many cups will it make?
60g is the perfect size! If you brew 20g pour overs, it will make 3 large cups. For 15g pour overs, it's enough for 4. And with 12g it's perfect for 5 cups.
Who is this for?
Everyone who is excited about new releases and can’t try enough of them. Folks that want to try new roasters. Light roast pour over lovers. And if you're new to specialty light roast, this is the perfect way to discover what kinds of coffee you like best.
Will it be fresh?
Yes! We mostly feature light roasts that need to be rested before peaking in flavor. Most of our roasters recommend 14-28 days of rest. This allows us to make sure you get each of our coffees at peak flavor or before. We will include a guide with each coffee that explains how long it should be rested. Occasionally, we will freeze a coffee to preserve its freshness. This will be noted on the coffee as well!
Brew guides
Every coffee will come with brew recommendations. Instead of providing a recipe, we will provide tips on how to tweak whichever recipe works for you. We may suggest extracting more or less, using hotter or cooler water, and updosing or not. This way, you can stick with what works for you -- and still get a great first cup.
